Camilla & DanielMy name’s Daniel Streefkerk. I’m 24, live in Sydney, Australia with my wife and daughter.

I work as a Systems Administrator for an accounting firm in a primarily Microsoft environment. My training comprised of a Diploma at TAFE, as well as MCP & MCSA qualifications from a training institute.
I’m interested in all things automotive. I find Linux interesting also, as it stimulates the grey matter a little more than Microsoft’s offerings. I love my open source software. I run a site based on Joomla, and have written several custom modules & components for it.

My parents are Dutch, although I was born in Melbourne, Australia. I wouldn’t call myself very “Australian” by the beer swilling, vegemite & mango quaffing, Holden loving, Stubby wearing bogan stereotype.

I’ve also been interested in cars for many years. My first (and previous) car was a 1991 Ford Laser TX3 Turbo 4WD which I owned for around 2 years. I was an active member of www.fordlaser.com, a thriving Australian automotive forum. I did some mild performance and suspension mods - and was very happy with the car in the end. I sold it due to the impending birth of our daughter.

I then also sold the wife’s car - a 2002 Nissan Pulsar. (Never buy one of them. They’re rubbish), and got something a bit more family-oriented, although still not too pedestrian. It’s a 1999 Mitsubishi Magna Sports 3.5 Manual.
That’s pretty much the sum of it for now.

I hope my blog contains some useful information for you. I’m using it as a reference for the future, because, as the saying goes; “If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it”.
Cheerio,
Daniel
